We all start with that surge of excitement and enthusiasm. We're starting a new program, and maybe you just ordered your first kettlebell from the TikTok Shop đ You're ready to conquer the world now, but then, in two weeks, the excitement fades, and suddenly the couch looks a whole lot more inviting than a session of squats and RDL's
Here's the secret: The people who reach their fitness goals aren't the most motivated; they are the most disciplined.
When you're feeling unmotivated, your brain is looking for excuses. Don't give it any. Keep your gear organized and your space ready. If the prospect of a 60-minute session feels heavy, commit to just 10 minutes of movement. Once you pick up that bell and perform your first few swings, the "motivation" magically appears.
Don't worry about the weight loss goal or the ultimate strength benchmark today. Just focus on showing up for this one session. When you win the battle against your own hesitation, you build what I like to call your "discipline muscle." Every time you train when you donât feel like it, youâre strengthening your character even more than youâre strengthening your glutes.
The Bottom Line: Donât rely on a feeling that comes and goes. Rely on the plan youâve set for yourself.
Consistency is built in the moments where you show up anyway.
